She is the firm’s managing partner and heads the Commercial and Civil litigation department. Ms. Muthie has vast experience in commercial transactions and corporate governance. Her wealth of experience stems from her previous service in the Banking and finance sector and time in practice at the firms of J. Makumi & Co Advocates, J.K. Kibicho & Co Advocates, and Tiego & Co. Advocates, where she served before founding G.N. Muthie & Co. Advocates.

Her areas of practice are but not limited to Commercial and Civil Litigation, Legal Tech (Law & Technology), Banking, Securities and Finance, Intellectual Property law, Commercial Transactions, Administrative & Constitutional Litigation, and Public Interest Litigation. She has practical experience in Land and Property transactions, Company Formations, banking advances and securities, realizations thereof, and debt collection.

Together with these, she has demonstrated expertise and a personal interest in Legal Tech and Environmental law and compliance. She has been part of a key resource team advising on environmental compliance, participated in the drafting and formulation of legal tech policies on data privacy and protection.

Ms. Muthie is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (L.S.K), the East African Law Society (E.A.L.S), and the Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA-Kenya).

He has vast experience in Tax law, Immigration Law, Insurance law, Criminal litigation, Sports Law and Litigation, and all other aspects of legal practice. Mr. Ekutu recently argued an Appeal lodged against an athlete before the Sports Tribunal wherein he successfully got a judgment in favour of our Client against the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya.

Among other matters, he has successfully represented our clients in the Tax Appeals tribunal and has demonstrated expertise in the Judicial Review division as well as Constitutional and Human Rights division.

He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East Africa Law Society, and a certified Tax agent with the Kenya Revenue Authority.

She is a Lawyer and Legal Researcher at G.N. Muthie & Co. Advocates, with a focused interest in Commercial Law, Human Rights, and Constitutional law. She brings a multidisciplinary lens to her legal work, having first earned a degree in Procurement and Logistics Management from Multimedia University of Kenya before pursuing legal studies.

Her background in procurement informs her research in commercial transactions, contract law, and public procurement, while her passion for justice continues to drive her work in constitutional interpretation and public interest litigation. At the firm, Muthoni provides critical support through legal research, legislative analysis, and policy review across a range of practice areas.

Her legal interests lie at the intersection of law, governance, and social justice with a strong commitment to using research as a tool for accountability, equity, and transformative impact.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Riara University and is currently in the process of completing her Advocates Training Programme (ATP) professional training. Muthoni is also a certified professional mediator and a member of the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA-Kenya).
